Each season, SPZL designer Gary Aspden, gets inspiration from outdated silhouettes and revives the shoes with an updated character.ForSpring/Summer 2021, Aspden takes cues from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, using color palettes that blend neon hues with surfing aesthetics.
Though the least flashy of the bunch, the Burnden SPZL marks a brand new hybrid court trainer. The upper pattern borrows heavilyfrom a vintage suede trainer made under license in Japan. Constructed with a leather upper, EVA midsole and rubber outsole, the shoe stands out with color paneled inserts, curvy eyestays, and heel overlay.
